Everything in PEO collapses into one question: what do you do on Monday. This 90-day plan runs the method in the order that builds momentum, define and baseline first, then knowledge, then network, then structure and authority, measuring the whole way.
Strategy is easy to admire and hard to start. So here is the plan reduced to a sequence you can actually begin this week, built to create momentum instead of overwhelm.
Days 1 to 15: define and baseline
Do not publish anything yet. First, get clear. Write your money queries: the five to ten buyer-phrased, specific, commercial questions you want to win. Then baseline them. Type each into ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Perplexity and Google's AI Mode, and record who gets named, whether you appear, and the reasons the engines give. Screenshot everything. This is your before picture, and you will be grateful you kept it.
Also this fortnight, settle your position: the single, defensible claim you want attached to your name, and audit your existing identity for the fragmentation you will fix later.
Days 16 to 45: build the knowledge base
Now publish, on purpose. Produce deep, opinionated work on your chosen position, attributed to your name, in enough volume to read as a body rather than a one-off. Prioritize depth over breadth: a few genuinely strong, specific pieces beat a dozen thin ones. Format them so an engine can lift a clear answer, and make sure every piece is unmistakably attributed to your single identity.
Positions, not summaries. If a machine could have generated it without you, it will not move your Knowledge signal. Publish the take only you can defend.
Days 46 to 75: manufacture the network signal
Turn to the heaviest and most underbuilt signal: what others say about you. Pitch yourself as an expert source to journalists, get onto relevant podcasts, earn inclusion on respected lists, and encourage peer citations of your work. Set a concrete target, a handful of genuine third-party references in this window, and pursue them deliberately. Each independent mention is a vote the engine weighs heavily.
Days 60 to 90: structure and lift
Overlapping the network work, clean up your machine-legibility. Standardize your name, title and bio everywhere, connect your properties, and add the structured data that lets an engine resolve you as one entity. Then lift authority: strengthen your core properties and pursue higher-trust references so your identity carries the weight your niche demands.
Day 90: re-run and plan the next loop
Return to your money queries and re-run every one across every engine. Compare against your day-one screenshots. Mark where you moved from unmentioned to mentioned to named, and where you did not. PEO is a loop, not a launch, so the output of day 90 is not a finish line, it is the input to your next 90 days, aimed at the specific gaps the scoreboard now shows.
The mindset that makes it work
Start narrow, start now, and measure honestly. You are not trying to win everything at once. You are trying to become the named answer on one question that pays, then widen. Age and network compound, so the person who begins today is building a lead that a later starter will struggle to close.
